Associate Pastor/Minister of Education

Tom was called to our staff in July of 2000. In his position, he is responsible for providing leadership in administration, proclamation, and pastoral care as the church may require and in providing staff leadership to the entire church educational program. This is achieved through assisting church program leaders in planning, conducting and evaluating a comprehensive ministry of Christian education in support of the missions and objectives of the church.
Tom received his Masters in Christian Education from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and his undergraduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. Prior to his call to Coats Baptist, he served as part-time church administrator and also as municipal government administration in South Carolina. Tom and his wife Debra have one grown daughter Heidi and a son, Andrew who is in college.
